The land beyond the shore. This quaint town rests upon land that stretches beyond the main embodiment of Sri Lanka (off the Puttalam district). Stop by the Bar reef where many keen divers and snorkelers of varying experience swim through crystal clear waters to view the jaw-dropping bio-diversity of what rests beneath the horizon. Kalpitiya is also famed for its portfolio of watersports activities available for both family fun and the adrenaline-fueled individual.

Most who visit Kalpitiya come for one thing that makes any tour one for the ages. Off the shores of Kalpitiya reside one of nature’s most awe-inspiring coalitions between the graceful spinner dolphin and our next addition to the Big Five; the gargantuan sperm whale. Spot pods of up to a hundred dolphins grazing the water whilst the sperm whale monitors the surroundings all on a boat ride off the Kalpitiya shore.
